Let's Dance Salsa (Advanced & Expert) dvd

Let’s Dance Salsa (Advanced & Expert) dvd You’ll learn essential salsa combinations, unavailable anywhere else, by renowned dance instructor and choreographer Marlon Silva. Advanced and expert latin moves include: Square Dance – Learn the Square Dance technique used in competitions. If you lose the beat, the Square Dance is a good way to get it back. Knee – Learn a flashy technique called The Knee. The leader crouches on one knee and leads the follower back and forth. Leaders jump back up, catch the follower’s hand and continue dancing. Dip Essentials – Learn dip essentials for salsa. A move where the leader wraps his arms around his partner’s back to give her confidence and balance. This is the safest way to dip without injury. Dip Variations – Learn some variations to spice up your dips, including Neck Combinations and Tango dips. Leader’s Blender – Mix it up with The Blender technique, a complex spinning maneuver that requires total control in the spins of both followers and leaders. The resulting motion resembles a blender. Follower’s Blender – Now that the leaders have learned The Blender, the followers need to know their role. Both leaders and followers must exhibit total control in their spins. Reverse – Learn how to reverse any combination, including how to change hand positions that enable the leader to switch from a counterclockwise to a clockwise rotation. Several different combination reversals are illustrated. 2 hours of valuable dance instruction

How Much should i earn if a teach to dance Salsa.?

9th September

U know, i need to work, so.. i don't wanna work in a one expecified place and spend many hours there.
i'm really good dancing salsa, and i need money for pays my studies, so… i just was wondering how much could i earn.

anykind of imformation about that is gonna be really great.

Where I live, private dance teachers earn between 35.00 – 50.00 hour. Group lessons are all over the board, varying between about $65 – $85 dollars for classes once a week for 6-8 weeks. Drop-in workshops are between 5.00 – 10.00/person, lasting anywhere from 1 1/2 hrs to several hours. The tough part will likely be finding a place to teach. One of my private instructors has his own studio in his home, another has to always find a hall or church basement (which can get costly).

Good luck!

What is appropriate attire for a female to wear at a salsa/ballroom dance club?

8th September

I will be taking classes at this salsa/ballroom dance club and I am clueless what to wear to it?

You need comfortable shoes. If you don't have shoes that are specifically designed for salsa/ballroom, wear a pair of old dress shoes. It is best if they have leather sole and meduim heel. Flats are OK too. Also, shoes with open backs will be falling off every time you take a step back, so that won't work. Don't wear snickers or tennis shoes – the soles of snickers are designed for maxumim traction, they will stick to the flor and you won't be able to turn and spin easily.

As for clothes – wear something comfortable and somewhat dressy. A nice stretchy top and a skirt or a pair of pants wll be fine. Skirt needs to be wide enough for you to take any size of step confortably.
